You can join the footpath by leaving the city centre via North Parade, make a right on Pulteney road, a left onto Pulteney Gardens and join the canal tow path to the left just before the bridge. After the lock, cross the canal over the bridge on the right toward Sydney buildings and follow the footpath up the hill until it joins Bathwick Hill. You will be rewarded with a stunning scenery and beautiful views over Bath and its famous green belt, a National Trust reserve.
